 - See, touch, feel the product you are considering.  I made the mistake this month of buying a computer online without actually getting a feel for it.  I was researching online because I knew my old Dell was going down fast. Before I could get a new laptop my old one crashed. 

It will probably come as no surprise but the best time to buy a new computer or laptop is between January and February each year.  Reason; retailers are unloading their surplus inventory. If you get an early tax return and need new technology it’s typically a buyers’ market.  In March and April things start

First, I wouldn’t recommend buying a desktop computer because the mobility you get with a laptop makes them great to use on the go. As an IT professional I spend all day, every day on a laptop and it works just fine for work or personal use. In the past laptops lacked the power, hard drive space and were far more expensive than their desktop counterparts. Times have changed and laptops are the way to go.

When buying the best laptop you should consider cost, reliability and personal perferences among other things. You should certainly consider what you need it for, home, work or school?  If you use your laptop in the business world Windows is still pretty much the industry standard. But are they the best laptops out there?
